Care & Maintenance
Hand Wash or Dry Clean
For most sarees, dry cleaning is the safest option. If you choose to hand wash, use mild detergent and cold water. Avoid harsh scrubbing or wringing.
Store Properly
Keep your sarees in a clean, dry place. Use breathable cotton bags or muslin cloth to prevent moisture, dust and fabric damage. Avoid plastic covers.
Avoid Direct Sunlight
Prolonged exposure to sunlight can fade colours and weaken the fabric. Always dry your sarees in the shade.
Use Low Heat
If ironing is needed, use a low heat setting and place a cotton cloth between the iron and the saree. Avoid direct heat on zari and delicate fabrics.
Handle Stains Carefully
Treat stains carefully and promptly. Avoid bleach and strong chemicals, which can damage delicate fabric and colours.
Fold, Don't Hang
Hanging can stretch fabric and distort its shape. Fold sarees neatly and use soft tissue paper between folds when needed.
Keep Away from Perfume & Chemicals
Avoid direct contact with perfume, deodorants and hairspray, as these products may stain the fabric or affect zari.
Regular Care
Air your sarees occasionally and refold them to prevent permanent creases. Proper care helps preserve their beauty for years.
